Elemensa Relocation Consultants is a Wellington-based relocation consultancy.
We provide assistance to companies and organisations who need to help new employees with their move to New Zealand.
We can supply detailed, up-to-date practical information on life in New Zealand.
We know what it’s like!
The company is run by Kristel Coppieters. In 1995, she moved to New Zealand with her family and she loves to help others share the experience!
Moving to a new country can be an overwhelming experience, however with some guidance and help, it can be enjoyable and the experience of a lifetime.
We make moving as simple and easy as possible.

What do we offer?
In a warm, friendly and personal way, we offer the following relocation services:
- Individual & household needs assessment questionnaire
- Pre-departure planning and checklist
- Comprehensive pre-departure information on New Zealand (see below for details)
- Advice on & co-ordination with moving companies
- Advice on & co-ordination to move pets
- Liaison with New Zealand government agencies (Immigration, Customs, MAF)
- Arrange temporary accommodation
- Airport meet-&-greet, transportation to initial accommodation
- Advice on areas to live in destination location
- City and facilities orientation, focusing on residential areas
- Facilitation of home search (rent or buy)
- Advice on educational institutions – from pre-school to tertiary
- Assistance with household utility connections
- Assistance with physical house move, procurement of appliances, furniture etc.
- Referrals to professional services, e.g. banks, solicitors, medical specialists etc.
- Referrals to local tradespeople, e.g.plumbers, electricians etc.
- Recruitment of household help
- Assistance in contacting organisations of interest, e.g. churches, cultural groups, sports clubs etc.
- Assistance with job-hunting for household members
- Facilitation of language and cultural training
- Additional services for households with specific requirements, e.g. extended and one-parent families, special needs family members etc.
- Ongoing support of the household
All services, plus any further consultancy, research, and assistance with queries are charged at an hourly rate. We can put together fixed price quotations for specified service packages, depending on your requirements.
Disbursements are charged at cost, and include items such as long distance fax, toll & mobile calls, courier charges, hired transport, refreshments, arrival flowers/gifts, any purchases or fees paid on behalf of the client, FX bank charges, etc.
Our information products
Elemensa Information Products are available independent of other services on an annual subscription basis. This annual subscription is covered by a standard agreement, but, in summary, entitles a client to:
• print unlimited copies of the documents for internal use in providing information to out-of-town and off-shore hires, including contractors who may only be employed on a short term basis;
• hold electronic copies for e-mailing;
• receive scheduled updates of the information, with the frequency depending on the volatility of the subject matter.
